Hammer Drive Anchors
Product Information
Product Overview
Hammer Drive Anchors are nail-set expansion anchor used for light-duty fastening to concrete and masonry substrates. It consists of an anchor body and a preassembled drive nail or pin. After the anchor is inserted into a properly drilled hole, the nail is driven with a hammer, expanding the anchor body against the sides of the hole. This simple installation method makes the product useful where fast, repetitive fastening is required without a threaded bolt or separate setting tool.
The product is also commonly referred to as a Hammer Drive Pin Anchor, Drive Pin Anchor, Nail-In Anchor, Nail-On Anchor, Concrete Anchor Nail, or Hammer Set Anchor. Zinc alloy bodies, often referred to as Zamac, are common, while the drive nail may be supplied in zinc-plated carbon steel or stainless steel depending on the required corrosion resistance and application.
Hammer drive anchors are primarily used for attaching light-duty fixtures and accessories to concrete, brick, block, and other suitable masonry materials. Typical applications include electrical boxes, conduit straps, cable clamps, light fixtures, signs, brackets, trim, HVAC accessories, clips, nameplates, and general maintenance hardware. They are particularly useful for installation work where the fastener needs to be installed quickly through a fixture and secured by a simple hammer strike.
