Eye Bolts PN 82425
Product Information
Product Overview
PN 82425 is the Polish national standard for eye bolts, functionally equivalent to DIN 444. In international procurement, these fasteners are also referred to as swing bolts.
The standard covers the same dimensional range, thread geometry, and eye dimensions as DIN 444, typically corresponding to Form B with standard thread length and Form LB with an extended thread.
Buyers can use PN 82425 and DIN 444 interchangeably in most specifications without modifying drawings or assembly procedures.
The eye bolt consists of a circular lifting eye at one end and a metric threaded shank at the other. The eye accepts hooks, shackles, pins, or cables, while the threaded shank screws into a tapped hole or passes through a plate and is secured with a nut.
Common applications include lifting lugs, tie rods, linkage pins, clamping fixtures, and pivot connections in machinery, material handling equipment, and structural assemblies.
Selection depends on the working load, thread size, and environmental exposure. Carbon steel eye bolts in grades 4.6 and 8.8 cover general mechanical and structural tasks. Stainless steel versions in A2 and A4 provide corrosion resistance for marine, food processing, and chemical environments.
Surface finishes such as zinc plating, hot dip galvanizing, black oxide, and passivation are selected according to the installation environment.
