Metal Frame Anchors
Product Information
Product Overview
Metal frame anchors, also known as metal frame fixings or window frame anchors, are expansion fasteners used to secure window and door frames to masonry, concrete, and other suitable building substrates. The fastening system typically consists of a metal expansion sleeve or anchor body combined with a fixing screw. When installed into a correctly prepared hole, tightening the screw expands the anchor within the substrate and creates a mechanical connection between the frame and the base material.
These anchors are commonly used during the installation of uPVC, aluminum, timber, and other window or door frames. They are particularly useful where the fixing needs to pass through the frame and develop holding force inside the surrounding masonry. Compared with general-purpose wall plugs, metal frame anchors provide a purpose-oriented fixing solution for frame installation and can offer a more rigid connection when the substrate, anchor size, and installation method are correctly matched.
Metal frame anchors are widely associated with construction, window and door installation, facade work, renovation, and general building maintenance. Selection normally depends on the frame material, substrate type, required embedment depth, fixing diameter, and expected loading conditions. Common configurations include different anchor diameters, lengths, drive styles, and corrosion-resistant finishes.
