Threaded Rod Hanger Concrete Screws
Product Information
Product Overview
Threaded rod hanger concrete screws are specialized concrete screw anchors used to create a threaded connection point in concrete for suspended installations. The anchor incorporates an internal thread that accepts a compatible threaded rod, allowing support components to be connected directly to the concrete substrate. They are also commonly known as rod hanger concrete screws, concrete screw rod hangers, or threaded rod hanger anchors.
These fasteners are commonly used in mechanical, electrical and construction installations where threaded rods are required to suspend or support equipment and services. Typical applications include HVAC ductwork, pipe supports, fire protection systems, cable trays, electrical installations, suspended ceiling systems and other overhead support assemblies. The specific substrate and load conditions must be checked against the technical documentation for the selected anchor.
Unlike a conventional concrete screw with a standard exposed head, a rod hanger version incorporates an internal threaded connection. This allows the installed anchor to serve as the attachment point for a threaded rod without requiring a separate nut-and-washer arrangement at the concrete surface. The internal thread size should be selected to match the threaded rod used in the installation.
Rod hanger concrete screws are available in different anchor diameters, lengths, internal thread configurations, materials and surface finishes. Metric thread options such as M8 and M10 and inch thread configurations such as 3/8″-16 are commonly encountered in the market, although the actual thread configuration depends on the specific product design.
