GOST 3033 Eye Bolts
Product Information
Product Overview
GOST 3033 is a GOST standard for eye bolts used in Russia and other markets that reference GOST-based fastening standards.
The fastener consists of a metric threaded shank and a circular eye formed at one end, providing a connection point for hooks, shackles, pins, or cables while the threaded portion secures into a tapped hole or through a plate with a nut.
In international procurement, these parts are sometimes referred to as swing bolts or collar eye bolts.
The standard defines two forms based on eye bore tolerance and edge finishing.Form 1 covers general-purpose eye bolts with standard tolerances and chamfered eye edges, suitable for common fastening and locking tasks.Form 2 specifies a tighter bore diameter and head thickness tolerance, often with a countersunk or precision-machined eye, for assemblies where the eye pivots on a fitted pin or shaft in machinery and linkage systems.
GOST 3033 serves the same functional role as DIN 444 and PN 82425. Buyers familiar with European standards will recognize the product as an eye bolt for lifting, rigging, tie rods, and hinge connections.
However, dimensional details and form classifications are not identical across standards, so verification against the specific drawing or procurement specification is necessary when substituting GOST 3033 for DIN 444 or PN 82425.
Typical applications include lifting lugs, mechanical linkages, clamping fixtures, material handling equipment, and structural pivot points.
Material selection follows the working load and environment: carbon steel grades 4.6 and 8.8 cover general mechanical use, while A2 and A4 stainless steel grades provide corrosion resistance for marine, food, and chemical processing environments.
