Product Overview
DIN 933 hex head bolts are metric hexagon head fasteners with threads extending to the underside of the head. They are commonly known as fully threaded hex head bolts or fully threaded hexagon head screws and are used for general mechanical fastening, equipment assembly, machinery, structural components and other industrial applications. The DIN 933 designation is associated with the fully threaded hexagon head configuration, while ISO 4017 is the corresponding international standard for this product type.
Compared with DIN 931 hex head bolts, which have a partially threaded shank, DIN 933 bolts have threads extending along the full nominal length. This configuration allows threaded engagement over a greater portion of the fastener length and can be advantageous where the available clamping length varies, where the fastener is installed into a tapped hole, or where greater thread engagement is required. The fully threaded design also makes it easier to adjust the engagement position when assembling components of different thicknesses.
For distributors and industrial buyers, DIN 933 bolts are available in a wide range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and titanium, depending on the application requirements. Surface treatment options can include zinc electroplating, zinc flake or Dacromet coatings, hot dip galvanizing, zinc alloy diffusion coatings, PTFE coatings and other finishes selected according to corrosion resistance, operating environment and application requirements.
